Pack 8 Announcements - July 22nd
Summer Camp
Day camp was held on again at Odd Fellows in Lockport. Many of our boys attended and had a great time learning about wood working, crafts among a whole host of great activities. Thank you to everyone who attended and a special thanks to the volunteers that helped out.

Camp Windy Meadows
July 25 - 27, 2008
Be ready for a fun filled weekend of activities. This is a list of things that you need to bring. This is a guideline, you may bring other camping gear that you think you may need.
Please do bring:
- Tent (ground cloth)
- Sleeping BagOld Clothes (Camping Clothes)
- Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Soap
- Boots or Old Sneakers
- Mess Kits (We will not be using paper products)
- Fork and Spoon (They aren't included in the mess kits.)
- BUG SPRAY (The mosquitos get bad!!!)
- Sun Screen
- Water Bottle (We will supply water and drinks.)
- Hat
- Class B Uniform (Not your Class A uniform)
- Baseball Mitt
Please don't bring:
- Food (Unless you need a special diet - tell Beth Pyskaty if you need
special food. We don't want critters coming into get food in
your tents.)
- Electronic (I-Pods, Video Games, Radio's etc.)
- Whittling (Unless you are carrying your whittler's chip and you
Knife tell the leaders you have the knife.)
- We will be outside for the entire weekend. The camp does have running water bathroom facilities for our use. We will be doing all cooking over the camp fire. Don't miss the fun, be sure to save these dates on your calendar. Scouts who met their popcorn goal will not have to pay the camping fee. All other scouts and adults will pay 5.00 for the weekend

Mystery Bus Tour
Due to a lack of interested scouting families the mystery bus tour has been postponed. We will discuss alternatives during our first pack meeting of the season.
August Picnic
Beth is in the process of organizing a family picnic for mid August. We will update this site as dates are finalized and arrangements made. Please check back soon for additional details.
A True Leader In Our Pack
Beth Henry - Our Den 1 Leader, has been awarded the Towpath District Den Leader Of The Year Award. This is a very significant achievement because it recognizes one Den Leader across not only pack 8 but across the entire Towpath district each year whose dedication to boys in the Scouting program is outstanding. This Den Leader must be one who provided the best possible program for the boys in his/her Den. The award is for Den Leaders and Webelos Den Leaders.
